new plush- the woodchucks are here!

sammy and suzy woodchuck are here, and waiting to be adopted by you!
the second plush in my series 1, following lucy owl. just in time for holiday giving, these woodchucks are twin brother and sister.

they love to play pranks on each other. suzy is lazy and loves to sleep in, while sammy is a firecracker waiting to explode!
both plush are available at these designer toy stores.
giant robot, rotofugi, kopilot, monkeyhousetoys, yoya shop..... and many more.

STUFFED

a plush food show at munky king gallery in los angeles CA. go and behold a totally 'stuffed' feast!!! good for the eyes and tummy. there will be free ice cream opening night.. booze etc.
opening reception this thursday Nov. 15th. show runs thru dec. 2nd.

in addition to my fruits and corns, I made a suckling pig with apple -which I'llpost pics of later.

show opens this friday OCT 12th at SCHMANCY, in seattle. reception from 5-9 pm.
i'll have 3 pieces in it. this is one of them.

corns

usually I would do a drawing before I make any plush, but for the corns and apples I did not. it was more about making a kernel-like texture of corn. that was the most tedious part about making the corn. this was a plain piece of fleece I sewed this texture onto.

I made these red apples out of red velour, good amount of sheen and stretch.

I called this blog 'progress report' because I really enjoy the process of making things. figuring out the shapes, colors, etc. so I am going to try and put more 'progress' pictures in the future. these apples are for a food show at munky king gallery in los angeles opening NOV.15th. I'll post more info and pictures closer to the show date.
